Alexander Cloherty is a native Bostonian who attended Boston Latin School. He was graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1991 and from Suffolk University Law School in 1997.  He was admitted to the bar of Massachusetts in December 1997 and to the federal district court for the District of Massachusetts in 2008.

 Attorney Cloherty was a member of the team of attorneys who represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in its litigation against the tobacco industry, and was named a Special Assistant Attorney General in connection with that matter.  Subsequently, Attorney Cloherty worked in a general law practice, for a life insurance company, and for a mortgage lender.  In January, 2005 he opened his own law practice and represented individuals and businesses in a variety of civil matters.  In October, 2021, Attorney Cloherty joined Boz Law Offices, LLC.

 Attorney Cloherty is fluent in French as a result of living and working in France.  Although he lived and worked in Germany, the best Attorney Cloherty can do is order lunch and get directions to the train station.
